Augustus “Gus” Hickle began his academic career at Wake Technical Community College, eventually earning a Transfer Scholarship to Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. At Aquinas, he pursued his passion for music and business, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Music and Business. His dedication to both academics and athletics was evident during his time at Aquinas, where he played on the men's hockey team and earned the title of Academic All American twice.

After graduating, Augustus wasted no time diving headfirst into the music industry. He secured an internship at SoundPost Studios where he honed his skills in audio engineering, followed by taking on the role of Audio Engineer at the GLC Live in Grand Rapids, handling everything from stage builds and monitors to lighting and load-ins.

During the summer of 2023, Gus contributed to the success of the Upheaval metal music festival held in Belknap Park, demonstrating his versatility and adaptability within the industry. In August 2023, he returned to his alma mater as an Event Manager, bringing his expertise full circle by orchestrating memorable events.

Augustus caught the attention of PennyFly, leading to an internship that eventually transitioned into a continued collaboration. Gus runs point on several A&R efforts including curation of talent, in addition to marketing assistance (PR, email campaigns).
